Welcome to the Social Planning Network of Ontario

The Social Planning Network of Ontario (SPNO) is a coalition of social planning councils (SPC), community development councils (CDC), resource centres, and planning committees located in various communities throughout Ontario. Each of the individual organizations has their own mandates but are connected in the cause of effecting change on social policies, conditions, and issues.

It is the goal of this Website to provide information about the various member agencies/councils/committees of the SPNO. These include:

• A description defining independent community-based social planning

• A complete list of the SPNO members with links to all who have websites of their own or e-mail capabilities.

• A list of projects that have been undertaken by the SPNO and some description of the projects

• A listing of Local Reports

• We will also be providing a vital LINKS page which will offer internet links to various government sites and other sites related to social planning. Keep checking this as we will update it as soon as new links are made available to us.
